Our Third Day at Hilltop

It was an action packed day after a good sleep. The super swing started off the day which is a huge swing for two people at a time. It is hoisted high up into the trees over a large dip in the ground which creates a feeling of being extremely high up. When the harnessed passengers are ready, one of them has to pull a release cord and they have the biggest swing of their lives. Pulling the cord is apparently the hardest part as the drop and swing anticipation is huge.

Budding Robin Hoods and Maid Marians practiced archery before lunch followed by lunch alfresco and rock pooling at West Runton. There were fascinating finds: crabs, shrimps, little fish, limpets and other marine life as well as an ice cream shop! Lots of analysis and facts learned as well as the sheer excitement of finding a creature and researching it.

After tea everyone embarked on the forty five minute coastal hike along the coastal path to Sheringham beach, where they threw pebbles into the sea, enjoying the waves and the evening sunshine. Following the picturesque walk back, a short play in the games room preceded hot chocolate and a well deserved sleep. What a terrific day!
